19 but you should of put (2 + 7) + (8+2)
* * * * *
The answer is correct but the advice is not. Addition of real numbers is associative which means that you can write strings of addition WITHOUT the need for parentheses (brackets).
(2 + 7) + (8 + 2) = 2 + (7 + 8) + 2 = ((2 + 7) + 8) + 2 etc. ANY one of the sums can be written, without ambiguity, as 2 + 7 + 8 + 2
No. 2 + 7 - 8 = 1 8 + 7 - 2 = 13
16 + 2 + 9 + 4 + 7 + 8 is = 18 + 9 + 4 + 7 + 8 = 27 + 4 + 7 + 8 = 31 + 7 + 8 = 38 + 8 = 46
2 + 4 + 8 + 6 + 3 + 7 + 9 + 8 = 47
7 plus 2 is 9. 9 plus 8 is 17. 17 plus 3 is 20.
2 7/8
8 - 2 = 6 + (-7) = -1
2 + 5 is 7 + 6 =13 + 7 = 20 + 8 = 28 + 9 = 37 + 10 is 47.
7 + 8 = 15 - 2 = 13^35.
As it appears the only thing it illustrates is the identity property ie anything is equal to itself. If there were brackets: (2 + 8 ) + 7 = 2 + (8 + 7) then that would illustrate the associative property of addition of numbers.
7 + 3 - 8 = 2
The answer is 39.7 + 8 = 15 + 4 = 19 + 7 = 26 + 5 = 31+ 6 = 37 + 2 =39
((2 plus (1 over 4)) plus 3) plus (7 over 8) = 6.12500
