well it depends what positive is being misused by the negative lets say it was, Example:-3 - +3 then that would equal 0 because when you minusing or plussing a negative with a positive the terms are backwards
It depends on the negative and positive number for example:
16-(-3)= 19, cause the 16 is bigger than the 3, so it's positive
-16-3=-19, cause the -16 is bigger than +3, so you just add on to the 16.
Also this is different from adding because adding your taking away from the positive number like 3+(-2)= 1 is different to 3-(-2)= 5 and -3-(-2)= -1
It can equal a positive, zero or a negative number.
a positive
Because "minus a negative" is tha same as "plus a positive". So, a positive minus a negative is a positive plus a positive which is a positive.
Always positive.
Positive 3 plus negative 5 minus negative 2 minus positive 4 is equal to -4.
yes
it equals a positive.
no it equals a positive
A negative number minus a positive number will always be a negative number.
8 minus negative three or 8--3 equal positive 11. The double negative converts the minus sign into a plus sign and the negative into a positive.
"Minus a negative" is the same thing as "plus."
Negative 4 minus positive 2 is equal to negative 6.
positive four
