A palindrome is a word, phrase, clause or sentence that, when spelled backward reads the same as it does forward. Therefore mom dad Hannah = palindromes longest word Redivider sentence Marge lets Norah see Sharon's telegram. Those are palindromes, the word "tricycle" backwards reads "elcycirt" and therefore is not a palindrome.

'Radar' is a palindrome but 'moon' is not. A palindrome is a word that is spelled the same way forward and backward. 'Moon' does not fit this definition because spelling it backwards gives you 'noom'.
