Fluid on the passenger side floor is one of two things. Either you have a water leak from outside, as in a windshield leaking, condenser drain line stopped up and leaking into the car, or the heater core is leaking. Taste the fluid. If it taste sweet, it is coolant and the heater core needs replacing.
It is so that the inside bottom of the line can drain completely if required and no fluid or condensate will remain trapped. In other words the eccentric reducer keeps the bottom of the line straight.

There is a bolt under neath the tranny. take it out and drain the fluid. ATF fluid 2.6 quarts is the capacity of the tranny
I really doubt that there is a drain plug for the tranny, usually you have to unbolt the tranny fluid pan and take it down to get to the filter and drain the fluid.
Take the bottom pain off
You are then qualified to work at Jiffy-Lube. Tranny fluid in the fluid resivoir is not a huge deal if it is a small amount. If you put in more, just drain the coolant and refill with fresh according to you manufacturer. Transmission fluid has different properties than coolant. It needs to conduct heat, lubricate the water pump and not vaproize at the engine temperatures.
The only place to fill the tranny fluid is through the tranny dipstick drain plug underneath
Find the drain plug on the tranny oil pan. Loosen it and the fluid should start to drain - remove the plug all the way and let the contents go into a pan. When doing this, one also needs to change the tranny oil filter - this is accomplished by removing the tranny oil pan and changing it.
Replace radiator ASAP. And flush tranny fluid.

From under the tranny. Youll see one odd size bolt that is the drain. On manuals its on the differential bottom. On auto's its on the bottom of the tranny. Autos have filters on the front side of the tranny. manuals have NO filters
Raise vehicle, remove drain plug from tranny pan, drain fluid, reinstall plug using new washer. Remove tranny dipstick & refill with the proper amount of Dexron III...
There are a number of seals in it. However if you mean can fluid be changed and added YES. You have to drop the tranny pan on automatics to drain them, and there should be a fill and a drain plug in a manual tranny.
