I don't think their are 3 dozens in 1 bushel
Depending on the size of the crab, as many as 7 to 8 dozen crab will fill a bushel. Jumbo crabs (6 to 6-1/2 " in dimensions) will yield 5 to 6 dozen per bushel. Large crabs (5-1/2 to 6"), 6 to 7 dozen per bushel, and Medium crabs (5 to 5-1/2"), 7 to 8 dozen per bushel

US or UK? try this site for your answer. http://www.onlineconversion.com/volume.htm ps last bushel I bought was 13 dozen. I came in a bushel, was called a bushel by th fishmonger... whether it was the bushel you refer to??? I don't know Sometimes 1, sometimes 2, sometimes 3.
Dozen is a count and bushel is a volume. The two measurements cannot be reconciled without a conversion factor. There are fewer than one dozen bowling balls in a bushel but, a lot more than a dozen golf balls in a bushel.
Approx. 3 dozen, depending on the size of the crabs.
