A 14 year old could be ether 8,9 or 10, depending on when their birthday happens, so some kids turn 14 in December January Febuary March April etc in grade 8. And some kids start grade 9, 14, then turn 15 in December, January etc. And in grade 10 some kids start the first 1 2 3 months 14 then turn 15 in december. But the average 14 year old is in grade 9.
