Let a body travels with a speed of 63km/h for 1h. After that let it travels with a speed of 1km/h for another hour. The total distance travelled(D) will be

(63*1 + 1*1)=64km. Also total time taken(T) will be (1+1)=2h. Thus,

Average speed=D/T=64km/2h=32km/h ;which is clearly higher than the final speed(1km/h).

Thus, Av. speed may be higher than the final speed.

What is the maxim speed of a human?

Usain Bolt holds the world record for the 100m sprint. He did this in 9.69 seconds, which gives an average speed of 23.08mph (10.32m/s). As this is an average speed the maximum speed will be a bit higher than this. so to answer your question the maximum speed of a human is about 25mph

Can a mean average ever be higher than a median average?

Yes. If the predominant data are higher than the median, the mean average will be higher than the median average. For example, the median average of the numbers one through ten is five. The mean average is five and one-half.

When is the speed of sound near the ground less than the speed of sound higher up?

If the speed of sound near the ground is less than the speed of sound higher then in this special case the temperature at the ground must be less than the temperature higher up. Usually the temperature at the ground is warmer than the temperature high up in the sky. The speed of sound changes mainly with the temperature.
