It is quite simple if it is a regular shaped object like a cylinder or a cube.

For example if you wanted calculate the volume of a cylinder you need to know the radius of the circular cross-section of the cylinder - this is the measurement from the centre of the circle, to the outer-edge and then multiply that by the height of the cylinder.

For irregular shaped objects don't think there is a simple mathematical way if you don't know the density but you can always use water displacement to get a volume measurement.

Just drop the object you want to know the volume off into a graduated cylinder partially filled with water - the amount the level rises will be roughly equal to the volume of the object you dropped in.

What is the density if the mass is 2000 grams?

Density = Mass/Volume. You cannot calculate density without knowing BOTH mass and volume.

How do you calculate volume if given bulk density?

Bulk density = dry weight / volume, then by knowing the dry weight and bulk density we can calculate the volume.

How do you get the density of a ball without knowing the radius or the volume?

Unless you can calculate or measure the volume, you cannot. And even if you could you would get the average density - of the material of the ball and the air inside.

What is the density of 1.000kg?

Density is Mass/Volume. Without a measure of volume you cannot calculate density.

7.5 milligrams equals how many ml?

You cannot associate weight with volume without knowing the density. If you find this out. Density is mass/volume

What is density of an object with the volume of 20cm3?

Density = Mass/Volume. Without information about the mass, you cannot calculate the density.

If the mass of the cube is 16g what is its density?

The density of an object is its mass divided by its volume. Without the volume, you cannot calculate its density.

How do you convert 0.375G to mL?

You cannot associate weight with volume without knowing the density. If you find this out, then Density is mass/volume

What is 1500g converted into liters?

You cannot associate weight with volume without knowing the density. If you find this out. Density is mass/volume

How many ml is 226gm?

How do you find the mass of a ruler knowing its volume but not its density and without weighing?

mass = volume x density. If you know any two of the three, you can calculate the third one. In this case, if you know only the volume, and you are not supposed to weigh, you really don't have enough information.
