- Not all schools will allow it.
- The people who are already in the higher set will have covered topics which your set may have not done - because it was not required for the foundation level. So you may have some catching up to do.
- It will be tough. Remember that once you move up, you will be working at a faster pace on topics which are harder.
Your best option is to discuss frankly with your mathematics teacher. You should not have been placed in the foundation set simply for the fun of it. At some time, in your teachers' opinions, your performance suggested that you would not make the grade in higher maths. They could be wrong.
