Depends where you're flying from and what it is. Flying from the US, Australia or Europe and there will be restrictions. Flying from Asia or Africa and you'll likely be fine.

Restrictions placed by "western" countries are as follows:

No gels, liquids, oils, or anything of that kind unless each individual container is no larger than 50g/50ml and all containers must fit into a 1-litre capacity ziplock, clear plastic bag. Even if you have 1 65ml tube of toothpaste which is half-empty, it's not allowed. The original capacity of the container must be 50ml or less.

Medicines and baby food/milk may also be allowed with the production of a doctor's certificate for their use, and/or if the mother samples the food or milk in front of a security officer (I know that sidetracks the makeup thing but...)

So basically, yes. You can take make-up on board as long as the amounts fall within those stated above. If you want to be 100% sure, contact the airline you're flying with or the airport you're flying from.

You are allowed to have any makeup that is less than 3 ounces. Like lipgloss, powder, mascars etc. Solid makeup is fine and you can carry that in your purse or carryon lugage. But check in any liquid makeup with the aiprort secirty officials though. Also check online with the airlin's website for informmation as it may be outdaed though.

TSA limits each container to 3.4 oz. ....TSA goes by the size of the container, not the amount of liquid inside. This would apply to toothpaste in a tube, even if almost empty, they would look at what the original size of the container could contain.

Yes you can. Just make sure it is 3oz or less, in its package, and in a zip lock or a small bag. Don't buy the clear plasic bottles that travel catalogs sell because the TSA doesn't allow them through because they don't have the product label.

Only if it is in bottles/containers of less than 100ml and stored in a clear plastic bag. Decant larger pots or bottles into small containers available to buy at chemists in airports.

Yes, you can take makeup on an airplane. If any of your makeup is liquid, it must be under 3 oz and enclosed in a 1 quart zip lock plastic bag.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to... it's not like they're gonna kick you off a plane for powdering your nose
