Addition
The real number system
To find the average of a set of numbers, add all of the numbers together and then divide the total by the numbers in the set. In this case, add 50, 48 and 47 together, getting 145. Now divide this number by 3 and you get 48.3333. Round off this number to 48.33 and that is your average.
Total of the numbers divided by the numbers of times the figures appear
Because adding any set of real numbers together will result in another real number.
First, you add all of the numbers in the set together. Then, you divde the sum by however many numbers there are in the set of data. Your quotient is the average/mean.
Addition
Add them together, then divide that total by the number of numbers in the set.
The Real numbers
To take the mean of a set of numbers is just to take the average of the set of numbers. Add all the numbers together and divide this total by the amount of numbers you had. This is the mean.
To find the median of a set of values with an even number of values, place the values in ascending or descending order, find the 2 middle numbers and add them together and divide that total by 2 and that's the median.
To find the average of a given set of numbers, total the numbers and divide that total by the number of members of the set.
The real number system
If you have two numbers, multiply them together and divide that total by the GCF. The result will be the LCM.
These two sets together make up the set of real numbers.

That means to add all the numbers together.
