Your question doesn't make sense: linear meters are a measure of length (1-Dimensional), square meters are a measure of area (2-Dimensional).

"Converting" between the two would involve projecting the area onto a line, but to do this, there would need to be a known constraining factor for the second dimension. For example, if you had 1 m2 that was a constant width of 0.1 m then it's length would be 10 meters.

(Area = Length * Width) therefore (Length = Area/Width)

(e.g. Length = 1.0 m2/0.1 m = 10 m long)
