By decimal caliber do you mean inches? Ammo is almost always specified in mm, inches, or gauge. I guess one could call the first two decimal type numbers. If you mean decimal as in less than zero then I would say all rounds that are fired from a handgun or rifle than can be held by a person would be less than zero in inches. The .30 caliber rounds such as the .30-06, .308, 30-30, .300 Win, etc. are in inches and are actually 0.308 inches. In mm most of them are 7.62mm or 7.65mm. The .308 name is often interchanged with 7.62x54mm with a slight difference in pressure to be strict. If you actually mean 30mm as in rounds used against targets like armored vehicles and bunkers fired from guns mounted on things like helicopters and amphibious vehicles then converting to inches is 1.1811 inches.
