Cartesian skepticism is not a problem by its own right. It is true that there are several objections to it, some of which he addresses, but whether he manages to defend his belief from all objections is dubious (ha-ha).

One of these objections reads as follows:

Descartes's hyperbolic doubt is logically self-defeating. The method is built upon the belief that all beliefs should be doubted; thus this pillar supports an argument that knocks itself down and collapses.
