That seems like a quote which may, in context, have had some meaning. Removed from that context, it's one of those things that sounds deep but doesn't really mean much. Science is largely based on mathematics, but "go above" is vague and needs some clarification; religion and mathematics don't have all that much to do with each other at all, but "elude" seems an awfully pretentious way of saying that (and it would be equally true, if not more so, to say that "religion eludes mathematics").
In short: the statement is so ill-defined as to be effectively meaningless, so it really can't be assigned a value of "true" or "false."
