Really the question boils down to "which mass is greater - 2 kg or 3 kg". Obviously 3 kg is more than 2 kg no matter what it is composed of.
Although the pillow may be bigger, it has less total mass - which is being asked about here.
Yes. Volume is the amount of space something occupies. That pillow is a helluva lot bigger than the iron.
3 kg is more mass than 2 kg. It doesn't make
any difference what the objects happen to be.
A "characteristic" is something that applies uniquely to a particular substance . A characteristic property helps you identify what the sample, or object, or substance is. Example to help make the point: A solid block of iron has the same density no matter how large or small it is. So, size (volume) cannot help you identify an unknown blob of solid iron, and a particular mass for the blob is of no help either. BUT, the change in mass as volume changes, or m/v, is a constant for the substance.Mass is not a characteristic of copper, because the mass of a big piece of copper is more than the mass of a small piece of copper.Volume is not a characteristic of gold, because the volume of a big piece of gold is more than the volume of a small piece of gold. Besides, the same amount of a gas can have a wide range of volume based on its pressure.Density is (mass) divided by (volume), so it doesn't matter whether you have a big piece of iron or a small piece, the quotient of its mass and volume is always the same number whenever it is iron.
When you have a piece of a substance, its mass and volume have to be measured. After you've done that, you can calculate the density ... it's (mass) divided by (volume). It doesn't matter whether the sample you have is large or small. The densitywill be the same.
why the v of volume & p of pressure is in small letters ?
when measuring small quantities of liquids.
Bulk deformation is the processing of work pieces that have relatively small surface area to volume ratio (or surface area to thickness). In bulk deformation processing ,the thickness or cross section of work piece changes.
The mass of every pillow is different. The mass of a large firm pillow is larger than the mass of a small fluffy pillow.
Density refers to the mass of a material in a given volume (same volume for all materials)

That depends on how much cork you have. If you have a large piece, then it will have more volume and more mass. If you only have a tiny piece, then the volume and the mass will both be very small. The volume and the mass will always change together like that, in the same direction. The only thing you can always be sure of is that no matter what size piece of cork you have, the grams of mass will always be about 0.2 times the volume in cubic centimeters.
Immerse the object completely in a liquid (e.g. water) and measure the volume of liquid displaced.
