Grade talks about the Characteristics and features of a product high grade of car is one that has lots of features and benefits. while Quality talks about the degree that the inherent characteristics of a product fulfill its requirements. Thus, a high Grade product can have a low quality and vice versa. Quality talks about the durability of a product while Grade talks about the fancifulness of the product.
Let's use the Telecoms industry as the example especially in Nigeria. During the advent of GSM, there were two popular phones - Samsung R220 (Blue Eye) and Nokia 3310. Samsung R220 was a phone with different functions and features. Many people loved to have one (High Grade) but Nokia 3310 did not have much features but was stronger and durable (High Quality). So, we can say that Nokia was low grade with high quality while the Samsung was high grade but low quality.
