look for the number of digits that are at the right side of the decimal and put that number of zeros after 1 in the denominator. for example 1.25 = 125/100

the number of digits at the right side of the decimal point are 2 and we put 2 zeroes after 1 in the denominator.

Second example:

0.325 = 325/1000

third example: 23.4566 = 234566/10000
