Missing information - you need the worth (weight) for every grade, not just for some of them.

The way you calculate this so-called "weighted average" is to multiply each grade by its weight, and add everything up. Then you divide by the total "weight".

Example:

exam 1: grade is 80; weight is 40.

exam 2: grade is 70; weight is 60.

80 x 40 + 70 x 60 = 3200 + 4200 = 7400. Divide this by the total weight (40 + 60 = 100), and you get a weighted average of 74.

If I have a 77 percent in class and normal tests are worth 50 percent of your grade the final exam is 20 percent What grade will I need to get on the final and normal exam to get an 87 in the class?

you would need anything higher than an 87 because its an average and if you get lower there is no way it can get to a 87.

How do you calculate if you will pass a class when the final is worth 20 percent of my grade?

(.8*Current Grade)+(.2*Exam Score)

If you have a 52 percent in science and the exam is worth 30 percent how much do you need to pass to get 50 and over?

If 50 is passing: right now the contribution towards the total grade is (.70)*52, so the total grade = (.70)*52 + (.30)*E [for the final exam grade]. If the target is 50 for the total grade, then 50 = (.70)*52 + (.30)*E, and solve for E = (50 - (.70)*52)/(.30) = 45.3333, so a grade of 46 would put the final grade over 50. By the way, the maximum possible grade of a 100 on the final will result in 66.4 for the total grade.

How much is a 1885-0 Morgan silver dollar worth with grade of M64?

Average retail value is $80.00

How calculate the final grade?

The most basic way is to add all your grades up, then count the number of assignments. Divide the total score by the number of assignments to get your average. For example, say you have a 90/100, 100/100, 90/100 which = 280 (out of 300) now divide by 3 which = approx. a 93%. But your teacher/professor may weigh your grades. For instance, your tests and papers may be worth 50% of your grade while homework is worth 25% and quizzes are worth 25% of your overall grade. For weighted grades you multiply the grade you got by the % it is worth so if you got 85% on a test worth 20%, 78% on homework worth 20% and 84% on another test worth 60% the sum is (85 x 0.2) + (78 x 0.2) + (84 x 0.6) = 83% overall

How do i average my grade when my grade is an 82 and my final was a 73 and the final is worth 25 what is my final grade?

If final is 25% of grade and your average was 82 before final that part is 75%. So we have (.75(82) + .25 (73)) = 80

My final exam is worth 25 of my final average in the class my average in the class right now is an 84 but its not with the 75 i got on my final How do i average it all together?

Since the final is only worth 25 percent of your grade, you would add your class average of 84 three times. Then take that total of 252 and add it to your exam grade of 75 for a total of 327. Divide this number by 4 to get your final average of 81.75 percent.

C in math what do you need on the finals to get an A?

Find out what percentage of your total grade the final is worth. Also find the percentage of any quizes, homeworks, and particiation. Here is an example.. What score do I need If I want a 90% final grade, The final is worth 25% of the class, I have a 85% average on homework which is 50% of the class, and 76% average on quizzes which are 25% of the class. x=score on the final needed for 90% 90=x(.25)+85(.5)+76(.25) Do you see that the average grades are left in whole numbers, where the percentage of the class has been turned into a decimal? Multiply it all out and solve for x!

How do you find your final grade?

In most grading systems, your final grade is the average of your semester/marking period grades. Your mid-term and final exams might be separate and worth a percentage of your final grade. For example, in a high school divided into four marking periods, each marking period might be worth 20% of your final grade, and the mid-term/final exam might be worth 10% each of your final grade. Bottom line is that it depends on your individual school or college course. Each one may have a slightly different way of calculating your final grade, and you should contact them for specifics.

How do you figure final grade if term grades are worth 88 percent of total grade and final is worth 12 percent?

This is the problem of finding a "weighted average", that is to say, some items have more "weight" than others. To avoid confusions, I will convert the 88% to 0.88,and the 12% to 0.12. You can also convert everything to decimals. For example, if you get 80% for your term grades, and 70% for your final exam, you multiply as follows: (80% x 0.88) + (70% x 0.12) = 0.788 or 78.8%. Note that the term grades, having a larger "weight", affect the final grade much more than the exam; the final grade is much closer to the term grades than to the final exam grade. In this example, this works to your advantage, because the final exam has a lower grade.

What is the equation to figure out what grade you need on a final?

You first need to know how much the final contributes to the total grade. Let that be X%, so the final contributes X/100 to the semester grade, and your work, so far, contributes (1 - X/100).If G is your average before the final, and F is the grade earned on the final, and T is the total grade:T = G*(1-X/100) + F*(X/100). Rearranging, we get:F =(T-(1-X/100)*G)/(X/100)So if the final is worth 25%, {X/100 = 0.25}, and you have an 89, now, substituting in, you would need a 93 on the final to get a 90 for the class. If the final is worth 25%, and you have an 95, now, you would need a 75 on the final to get a 90 for the class.

If you have 72 percent in a class how much do you have to get on the exam if it's worth 30 percent?

To get a final grade of 72, you need a 72 on the exam. For a final grade of 75, you need an 72 on the exam. For a final grade of 80, you need a 99 on the exam. If you get 100 on the exam, your final grade will be a little over 80.
