How do you expand a linear equation?

Not quite sure what you want to expand. One thing you can do is multiply both sides of the equation by the same (non-zero) number.

What equation is equivalent to 3 over 15?

That's not an equation - an equation has an equal sign. To get an equivalent FRACTION, you can 1) Simplify the fraction. Look for common factors between the two numbers, then divide both parts of the fraction by this number. 2) Expand either the original fraction or the simplified fraction, by multiplying both parts by some number - the same number in both cases.

What is the first step you would do to both sides of an equation if you were going to solve it?

It would depend on the nature of each side. For example, if a side contained bracketed and not bracketed terms, then I would expand but, if not, I would not.

How do you solve square of binomial?

To solve something you need an equation (or inequality). An equation comprises two expressions with an equality sign between them. Here, there is only one expression: the "square of binomial". So, you cannot solve it.You expand the expression as follows:(ax + b)^2 = a^2x^2 + 2abx + b^2
