I've mande a sketch of how I learned to do it (in school during the 80s):

In the image, black lines are visible lines, grey are hidden (normally dashed/dotted in drawings?), red are projection helper lines and blue are the result. The image shows a pyramid with a rectangular hole through it.
The red lines from the top to the side give you the depth information, the ones from the front, "mirrored" on the 45° slope, give you the height information. This only works when you have hidden lines, though - without them you cannot reconstruct the missing view.
To change this scenario to recreate the right side view, simply "mirror" this setup - put the 45° slope on the other hand side of the front view.
If a person is in front of a bow( Front side of a boat) right side is starboard.

From the front of the engine right hand side second bolt back is #1, #2 is on the left side second from the back, #3 is on the right side second from the back, #4 is on the left second from the front,#5 is on the right side the front bolt,#6 is on the left side the first bolt, #7 is on the right side the back bolt, #8 is on the left side back bolt, #9 is on the right side third from the front, #10 is on the left side fourth from the front, #11 on the right fourth from the front,#12 on the left side third from the front.
When onboard and facing the front of a boat, the starboard side is on the right side.

Imagine you are looking at the club face straight on. Imagine the face is divided into thirds. The left hand side is known as the toe, the middle is known as the sweet spot, and the right hand side, which is just below the hosel is known as the heel.

When a pattern refers to the "right side" of your work, they mean the side that is the front. The side that is the back will be the "wrong" side.
facing to the front, starboard side is on the right
