Sir Isaac newton had many discoveries that help us in mathematics and science, including his discovery of gravitational force. His discoveries are part of the core foundation for modern science and have helped scientists design machines that can go into space.

Newton did a lot of work in optics, math, science, astronomy, and physics. He invented calculus, along with the theory of universal gravitation. He discovered, by reflecting it through a prism, that white light is actually made up of a whole lot of different colors. Newton also invented a new telescope, the reflecting telescope, which reflects light instead of refracting it, making a better image. The old telescope, the reflecting telescope, bent light, but the color wasn't great. Newton was also Master of the Royal Mint in London, where he did some work against counterfeiters. He was also named president of the Royal Society, the most prestigious organization of scientists in London. Newton is truly one of the most influential people in human history.

Um... Laws of Physics (if they are right) never change.

But here's the "hip with the kids" version:

If you shoot a gun you will be propelled backwards; if you hit a fat kid he will roll backwards slowly, if you hit a skinny kid he will fly backwards. and i forget the third.

The laws of motion are physical properties so if you kick a ball, drive a car, drop something, jump, throw a ball or do anything the laws of motion are in play. This is not something he made up but discovered that was true as a part of gravity.

Reflecting Telescope - In 1668 Newton invented the reflecting telescope. This type of telescope uses mirrors to reflect light and form an image. Nearly all of the major telescopes used in astronomy today are reflecting telescopes.
