Changing the temperature scale
Your Braun ThermoScan is shipped with the Celsius
(°C) temperature scale activated. If you wish to
switch to Fahrenheit (°F) and/or back from Fahrenheit
to Celsius, proceed as follows:
(1) Make sure the thermometer is turned off.
(2) Press and hold down the «start» button (IRT 4020)
or the «I/O» button (IRT 4520). After about 3
seconds the display will show this sequence:
«°C» / «SET» / «°F» / «SET» ...
(3) Release the «start» button / «I/O» button when the
desired temperature scale is shown. There will be
a short beep to confirm the new setting, then the
thermometer is turned off automatically.
Hope this works - says it's for models IRT 4520 and IRT 4020 (Type 6022, 6023)
The forumla for F -> C is, (F-32)*5/9 So C->F is, (C*9/5)+32 C=450 F=(450*9/5)+32 = 842 F
Use this formula to convert degrees Fahrenheit (F) to degrees Celsius (C): [°C] = ([°F] − 32) × 5⁄9
A temperature change by one degree on Celsius scale equals temperature change of 1.8 degree on Fahrenheit scale or F (Fahrenheit) = 1.8 C (Celsius) + 32
No. The relationship between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures: C = 5/9*(F-32) is linear. The rate of change is 5/9 F degrees per C degrees but the relationship is not proportional. 0 C is not 0 F.
0 C = freezing point of water = 32 F 100 C = boiling point of water = 212 F 100 - 0 C = 212 - 32 F, so a change of 100 degrees C = a change of 180 degrees F. Reducing this fraction, 5 C = 9 F 24.4 / 5 * 9 = 43.92 So 24.4 degrees above freezing in Celsius is 43.92 degrees above freezing in Fahrenheit. 32 + 43.92 = 75.93 F
Formula: [°C] = ([°F] − 32) × 5⁄9

To change F to C: deduct 32, then multiply by 5, then divide by 9. To change C to F: multiply by 9, then divide by 5, then add 32.
multiply the degree in C by 1.8 then add 32. this will give u the temperature in F. F = (C*1.8) +32
The Fahrenheit and Celsius scales are the same at -40°. However, for every change of 5°C, there is a change of 9°F. So counting up from -40°,...-35° C = -31° F-30° C = -22° F-25° C = -13° F-20° C = -4° F-15° C = 5° F-10° C = 14° F-5° C = 23° F0° C = 32° F5° C = 41° F10° C = 50° F15° C = 59° F20° C = 68° F25° C = 77° F30° C = 86° F35° C = 95° F40° C = 104° F45° C = 113° F50° C = 122° F

Use this formula to convert degrees Fahrenheit (F) to degrees Celsius (C): [°C] = ([°F] − 32) × 5⁄9
To convert between Celsius and Fahrenheit the formulae are: F = 9/5 x C + 32 C = (F - 32) x 5/9 So 1oF in C is: C = (1 - 32) x 5/9 ~= -17.2oC Or if the question is asking how much is the change in oC for a change of 1oF, then the answer is: A change of 1oF = a change of 5/9oC
