Divide the numerator by the denominator = 1/2= .5 = 50%, 3/4=.75= 75%

This may seem like stating the obvious, but in 1/2, 1 is the numerator and 2 is the denominator.
Divide the numerator by the denominator and move the decimal point two places to the right.Example: 27/36 = 0.75 or 75%

Multiply by 100 and, if necessary, simplify.

For example:

1/2 = 100*1/2 = 10/2 = 50%

1/10 = 100*1/10 = 100/10 = 10%

75 percent = 0.75
