To answer a question like this, I usually draw a line (representing a fraction bar). everything on top gets multiplied to form a numerator; everything on bottom is multiplied to get a denominator, then cancel units, then divide numerator/denominator to get the converted units.
So 1 m = 100 cm, and 1 min = 60 sec.
Note the vertical bars are for separation but I multiply:
1 cm | 1 m | 60 sec
----------------------------- = (60/100) m / min = 0.6 meters per minute
1 sec | 100 cm | 1 min
The reason this works is because 1 m = 100 cm, divide both sides by 100 cm and you get (1 m) / (100 cm) = 1/1 = 1, so you're just multiplying by 1, which doesn't change your measurement, just how it is expressed.
Divide by 360,000. 100 for cm to metre and 3600 for hour to sec.
cm/sec, yes? ok, divide by 100 to go from cm to m. then multiply by 3600 to go from sec to hr
yes almost 5 times greater 139 cm/sec x 60sec/min = 18,340 cm/min x 60min/hour = 1,100,400 cm/hour /100,000 cm/km = 11.004 km/hour
That question cannot be answered. Did you mean 17cm per minute? If so, 17 cm /min = 6.6929 inches/min = 0.5577 ft/min (rounded to second decimal).
( K cm/hr ) x ( 1 meter/100 cm ) x (1 km / 1,000 meters ) x (1 hr / 3,600 sec )= ( K x 1 x 1 x 1 ) / ( 100 x 1,000 x 3,600 ) (cm - m - km - hr) / (hr - cm - m - sec)= K / 360,000,000 km/secTake the number of cm per hour. Divide it by 360 millionto get the number of km per second.
19.2m/min calculation 60 sec/1 min * 32 cm/sec * 1 m/100cm
To convert cm to m divide by 100 To convert s to min divide by 60 → 36 cm/s = 36 × (1 cm)/(1 s) = 36 × (1 ÷ 100 m )/(1 ÷ 60 min) = 36 × (1/100 m ÷ 1/60 min) = 36 × 60/100 m/min = 21.6 m/min
Divide by 360,000. 100 for cm to metre and 3600 for hour to sec.
Conversion: cm per second x 0.02237 = miles per hour
1 meter = 100 centimeters1 minute = 60 seconds(3.5 cm/sec) x (60 sec/min) x (1/100 meter/cm) = (3.5 x 60 / 100) (cm - sec - meter / sec - min - cm)= 2.1 meter/minute
cm/sec, yes? ok, divide by 100 to go from cm to m. then multiply by 3600 to go from sec to hr

1 mph for 1 second = 44.704 centimeters OAFY!!! 1 mile per hour X 5280 feet/mile = 5280 feet/hour 5280 feet/hour X 12 inches/foot = 63360 inches /hour 63360 inches / hour 2.54 centimeter/inch = 160934.4 centimeters/hour 160934.4 cm/hr X 1/60 hr/min = 2682.24 cm/min 2682.24 cm/min X 1/60 min/sec = 44.704 cm/sec
