Ok,so lets say u have 16 over 3 . The numerator is 16 and the denominator is 3.ok so u divide 3 into 16.you get 5,but that is not 16 that is 15 u have 1 left over your whole number is 5 and your numerator is 1 and then the denominator is 3 so it would be

5 your whole number 1 your numerator and the denominator would be 3..... HOPe you understand.
