It depends on how thick each square foot is!

Actually, a square foot isn't "thick" at all, so you could theoretically stack up an infinite number of them and still not reach the one foot high you would need to make a cubic foot.

(cubic feet) = (square feet) × (height in feet)

length × width × height Since we know the Square feet of the garden, we now have the conversion to Cubic feet:

Cubic means a three-dimensional volume. Square means a two-dimensional flat area. One cannot be converted to the other.
