  1. Add all the numbers together.
  2. Divide out the total by the count of numbers.

Ex. 2,5,8,9

  1. 2+5+8+9 = 24
  2. 24/4 (because there are four numbers; 2,5,8 and 9) = 6

take all of your numbers and add them together. then divide your answer by how many numbers there are.

example: find the average of 3,5, and 9

3+5+9=17

17/3=5.66
