You would have to divide the diameter in half (diameter is the entire length across the base of the cylinder, the radius is half already so you don't divide) to find the radius. Then, once you find the radius, you square it and multiply your answer by pi (3.14). After you find your radius squared multiplyed by pi you multiply that answer by your height. :)
Ex.
D= 6 H= 25
D/2= 3
3 x 3.14= 9.42
9.42 x H = 235.5
