There is only one way to find the median.
if there is odd number of numbers for example....
6,3,7,35,4,12,90 .... 35 would be the answer because it is in the middle no dividing.
if there is an even number of numbers for example......
3,78,4,6 .... the only way is to teach dividing first then mean, median, mode, and range. median, mode, mean, range are practically 5th grade concepts so give the second graders time to learn addition and subtraction and dividing and multiplying. an app called fast math is very helpful . otherwise to do the mean and there is two number in the middle, add them up and divide by 2.
so add up 78+4 and divide by 2 always!.
You would add the two numbers in the middle and divide them by two and the answer would be the median.
Add 3 and 4 and you get 7 Divide 7 by 2 and you get 3.5 The median is 3.5
Add the 3 numbers together, and then divide the total by 3. This will give you the median number.
you have to take the two middle numbers, add them and then divide them by 2 to find the median, this is 29+37 = 66, divide that by 2 which equals 33. The median is 33
You find the mean of them ( add them together and divide by 2 .)
you find the two numbers in the middle and add them. divide the sum by two. that's the median.
You add the two numbers in the middle of your range and then you divide them by two, or just find the number that is halfway between the two numbers, and you then have your median.
To find the mean, you all them all up and divide by how many ever there are. To find the median, you put them in order and the middle one is the median. If there are an even number of data, you take the two in the middle, add them together, then divide by 2.
Add all together and divide by the number of families....median means average.
its the middle of it so u divide it in half
you know what you have to do...add takeaway then divide the numerators
if you are trying to find the median and there is two middle numbers, you add the two Numbers together and divide is by two.
take the 2 middle numbers, add them together, then divide by 2 and that number is your median.
i think you divide the histogram in two, so there are two equal halves. The number in the middle is the median,
You would add the two numbers in the middle and divide them by two and the answer would be the median.
Add 3 and 4 and you get 7 Divide 7 by 2 and you get 3.5 The median is 3.5
Add the 3 numbers together, and then divide the total by 3. This will give you the median number.
