it's actually pretty simple, you draw the line vertically, the draw three parallelograms representing the planes around the line almost making it like a 3D shape....

a plane is just a flat surface, so any three lines that intersect (as long as they are not drawn as the edges on a 3-D solid) should work

What defines lines that do not intersect?

Lines don't intersect:- 1) When lines are parallel 2) When lines don't lie on same plane

Are in the same plane but do not intersect?

The only lines that are in the same plane that do not intersect are: 1. Lines of finite length (eg 1 6" line on the floor at one end of the room and another 8" line at the other end) 2. Parallel lines

If two lines intersect in the same plane to form a right angle what can be conclued?

If two lines in the same plane intersect to form a right angle, then their slopes are negative reciprocals. Representing their slopes by sa and sb, then sa = -1/sb .

Counterexample for two lines in a plane always intersect in exactly one point?

Line #1 ==> Y = x Line #2 ==> Y = x + 1 These two lines are parallel, have no points in common, and never intersect. (3 ways to say the same thing)

What is1 pairs of parallel lines?

"1 pair" means "two". And "parallel" means the lines are on the same plane, but don't intersect. In other words, they are at the same distance at all points.

Will the graph of a system of parallel lines intersect at exactly 1 point?

Parallel lines don't intersect, no matter how many of them there are.

I have to prove if two lines intersect then they intersect in no more than one point I have to assume that lines intersect in MORE than one point i have to prove tht they intersect MORE than 1 wrong?

wrong!

Do two lines in the same plane always intersect in 1 point?

Not necessarily, as two lines can exist in one plane, but they don't always touch each other. An example would be parallel lines, where the lines are parallel to each other. Lines are also not necessarily straight all the time as it can be curvy too, wherein that a straight line or another curvy line that "does" touch the first curvy line could possibly intersect at more than one point.

What is a scienticic wod for a flat surface?

In geometry a flat surface is usually called a plane surface, or just a plane. You use it like this.1) If straight lines lie in the same plane they a said to be co-planar.2) If two co-planar straight lines never intersect, they are parallel to each other.

Can 3 lines intersect at only 1 point?

Assuming that the none of the lines are parallel, they can intersect (pairwise) at three points. Otherwise, the question is tautological.

1. Parellel lines do not intersect each other?

yes or no

What are lines that are not in the same plane and do not intersect?

They are simply non-concurrent lines. They need not be parallel. To illustrate that consider yourself in a cuboid room standing with your back to one wall. Line 1 is where the floor and wall meet behind you. Line 2 is where the left wall meets the wall facing you (the far wall). The two lines do not intersect but they are not parallel. There are many other such lines in the room.
