That is called a three way switch. It's used in conjunction with another 3 way switch in another area and they both control a light or set of lights. The black is power and the other two are called travelers that wire to the the other 2 gold screws on the other switch.
A three way switch can be used as a single pole switch by using the black screw and one of the brass screws. You will have to test the circuit to orient the switch so up is on and down is off, if that is what you desire, because it is not obvious on a three way switch.
The green screw is simply your equipment ground. You place your green or bare conductor there.
Simply run a wire from that outlet to that wall switch. Be sure you use the exact same wire size that you find in that outlet. It will be AWG 12/2 or 14/2. Do not mixes wire sizes. Connect the ground to green ground screw at outlet, and white wire to silver screw, and black wire to gold screw. At the light switch connect all white wires together under a wire nut and push them back into the box. Connect the ground wire to the green ground screw on the switch. Now connect the 2 black wires you have left, power in and power out, to the 2 screws on the switch. Does not matter which wires you connect to the 2 screws.

Normally the white wire is neutral, and the black is hot. But if the power comes into the ceiling box and the light is controlled by a switch leg the white my very well be hot. If there is only one wire in the switch box that is a switch leg.
3 colors? red black green and yellow? i count 4... red is your active, or live wire. black is return, or negative wire. green is your earthing wire and yellow is more than likely a control, for a switch, possibly a heating fan or towel railing?

Check the screws next to the wires and see what color they are if they are green, black, and red then do what i say next, if not you're screwd. just connect the red/black/green wires in the holes in the flip switch and be careful not to touch the wires just the protective covering and inert them they should auto lock in there...if not just screw them in.
Be sure that those wires coming from the box are for a recepticle and not a light switch.

Black/White/Ground power in and the same out. Tie the incoming and outgoing white wires together under a yellow wire nut and push them back in the box. Tie the ground wires together under a green wire nut and connect the pigtail from those ground wires to the ground screw on the switch. Connect the 2 black wires you have left to the 2 screws on the switch. Doesn't matter which black wire you connect to which screw.
Bring power into the switch box with a 12/2 or 14/2 wire and send power from there to the wall outlet with another 12/2 or 14/2 wire depending on the circuit. 12/2 for 20 amp and 14/2 for 15 amp circuit. You will now have 2 sets of wires in the switch box. Connect all the whites together under a wire nut and push them back into the box. Connect all the ground wires together and attach them to the green ground screw on the switch. Connect the black wire from the power source to one of the screws on the switch, does not matter which one. Then connect the black wire going to the outlet to the other screw on the switch. Put the switch back in the box and install the cover. At the wall outlet connect the ground to green ground screw, white wire to silver screw, and black wire to gold screw on one of the outlets. Run 3jumper wires from all three of those screws to the other outlet in the box. Ground to ground, black to gold, and white to silver screws. You need to first determine where wires go. If you Google 3 Way Switch you can get a diagram. Each switch has 3 contacts.. Think about a kids teeter totter. Each end represents a switch contact and the center is a common point. You connect the ends to either end on the 2nd switch. The common contact on one switch goes to supply power hot side and on the other switch the common point goes to the load. Then the neutral of supply connects to the load neutral and the supply ground connects to the ground of the load.
