How do you work out fraction sequences?

To work out fraction sequences would be dividing the numerator by its denominator.

If x = 1 and y = 2, then x/y = 1/2 = 0.50, or one half.

x = 1 and y = 4 would be 1/4 = 0.25, or one fourth.

The answer depends on the nature of the sequence: there is no single method which will work for sequences which are arithmetic , geometric, exponential, or recursively defined.
