To work out fractions in it's lowest terms you divide both numerator and denominator by 2(only if you can cancel down, because some fractions can't be written in lowest terms for example:7/11)

Example: 12/24 =(12/2)=6 and (24/2)=12 so you get 6/12 but you can still cancel it down because 6 and 12 are both in 2 times table

so, again you cancel it down (6/2=3) and (12/2=6)now you get 3/6

now your final answer is 3/6 (you can't cancel this down because 3 is not in 2 times table but 6 is but however if only the numerator and denominator were divisible by 2 only you can do it.

so, here 3/6 is the lowest term

Write 62 as a fraction in lowest terms is 62 over 1. Because 62 divide 1 is still 62 in whole number.
