Year-Month-Day
There are infinitely many possible answer. Pick any 4 numbers, a, b, c and d. And then let the fifth number, e = 300 - (a + b + c+ d) Then a, b, c, d and e have an average of 300. Since the choice of a, b c and d was arbitrary, there are infinitely many possible answer. For example, today's date is 22 November 2012 and the local time now is 1123 So let the first four number be 22 , 11 , 12 and 1123 Then the fifth is 300 - (22 + 11 + 12 + 1123) = -868 The average of the 5 numbers is 1/5*(22 + 11 +12 + 1123 -868) = 1/5*300 = 60
The probability that a date picked at random is February 30th is zero, as there is no February 30th, even in leap years.
The amount of the promissory note plus the interest earned on the due date is called the maturity value.
Pi is a transcendental number. It starts with the number 3! ---- How about that it is a never ending number....there have been contests to see who can memorize the largest amount of numbers included, and to date, the winner has been Akira Haraguchi of Japan, who claimed to have memorized 100,000 digits. However, Guiness Book of Records has not verified his ability, so the recognized winner is Lu Chao of China, at some 67,890 numbers of pi. Another cool fact about pi is that it is always equal to the ratio of the circumference of a circle/its diameter. pi=c/d. Always true, regardless of how large or small the circle is. Have fun :-)
be very careful, then go in for the kill.
The ordinal number 19th is spelled "nineteenth."
It's called an ordinal suffix.
I think you mean ordinal data. Similar to the golf tournament, you need to determine where to "cut" (from the ordinal data) so as to divide the data into different categories (to the nominal data). For example, if the ordinal data range from 1 to 6 (where 1 = the best) and the cut is 3, then you convert all the numbers from 1 to 3 to "1" (which represents "good") and the all numbers from 4 to 6 to "2" (which represents "bad"). In other words, 1, 2, and 3 from the original ordinal data set are converted to "1" (ordinal data); whereas 4, 5, and 6 from the original date set now become "2" (ordinal data). Eddie T.C. Lam
