100 is Cien, and after that you say: y uno. y dos, until you get to 199: cien y noventa y nueve. then 200 is DOS cientos. and the pattern continues, and then 1,000 is mil. Counting in spanish is really easy once you know the simple digits: cero, uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve (0-9). I'll help you out:

10 = diez

20 = veinte

30 = treinta

40 = cuarenta

50 = cincuenta

60 = sesenta

70 = setenta

80 = ochenta

90 = noventa.

One tricky part is 11-15. You say them like this: once, doce, trece, catorce, quince. then 16-19 are pronounced: dieciseis, dieciseite, and so on.

I HOPED THIS HELPED!

The first thing to remember is that vowels always sound the same in spanish no matter where they are in word. The U after a q is silent and after a g is a little tricky. However, if you remember the vowel sounds you have won half the battle.

a sounds like the a in HAT

e sounds like the e in BET

i sounds like the i in MACHINE, or like the EE in SEEK

o sounds like the o in BOUGHT, there is no "oo" sound in the spanish "o"

u sounds like the "oo" in BOOT

0 = Zero (SE-ro) (remember the pronunciation of the Spanish O

1 = uno. (OO-no) remember no "oo" sound. It's not OO-no oo

2 = Dos (dohs) no oo sound...sonds like the English word "does" but the s is soft not like a z.

3= Tres

4 = Cuatro (QUA-tro) the TRO is like the TRO in trouble

5= Cinco (SEENK-o) no "oo" sound on the o.

6= Seis (Se-ees) One sylable

7= Siete (see-E-te)

8 = Ocho <<< no "oo" sound. Ocho, not ocho-oo

9 = Nueve (nooE-ve)

10 = Diez (dee-ES) one sylable

11 = Once (ON-se)

12 = Doce (DO-se) (not DOO-se ---remember the sound of a Spanish O)

13 = Trece (TRE-se)

14 = Catorce (ka-TOR-se)

15 = Quince (KEEN-se)

After this the numbers are 10 and 6, 10 and 7 and so on.\

16 - Diesiseis (dee-ES ee SE-ees)

17 - Diesisiete (dee-ES ee see-E-te)

20 veinte = (BEeen-te) The B sound is soft not quite a b, not quite a v sound.

30 Treinta = (treEEN-ta)

40 Cuarenta = (qua-REN-ta)

50 Cincuenta = (seen-QUEN-ta)

60 Sesenta = (se-SEN-ta)

70 Setenta = (se-TEN-ta)

80 Ochenta = (o-CHEN-ta)

90 Noventa = (no-VEN-ta)

100 Cien = (seeEN)

101 - 109 is said ciento y uno (seeEN-to ee oo-no) one hundered and one, ciento y dos (seeEN-to ee dohs) one hundred and two. and so on.

110, 120 etc is said Cinentodiez, Cientoveinte (not ciento y diez, Cineto y veinte)

200, 300, 400, 600, 700, 800 are compound words Doscientos (twohundreds), Trescientos (threehundreds), etc.

500 is quinientios (kee-neeEN-tos)

900 is novecientos (no-ve-seeEN-tos)

1000 = Mil (meel)

numbers between 1000 and 999,999 are said as number of thousands followed by hundreds as listed below.

10,954 = Diez mil novecientos cincuenta y quatro.

250,000 = Doscientos cincuenta mil.

1,000,000 = un millón (oon mee-JON) The ll in spanish sounds like an English LY or a hard J like Jon or Jewel depending on where you are in the spanish speaking world.

1,000,000,000 - un billón (oon bee-JON)
