Although not scientifically tested, since there are two pints in one US quart and one US pint (16 oz)= 1 pound I would say that 1 quart sould always weigh about 2 pounds. However, this question is hard to answer because there is no way to know the moisture content of the corn when it is weighed. For example, lets say you have removed 1 quart of fresh corn. Since it is at least 90% water, if this corn is dehydrated, it would eventually reduce to about 3.2 oz. Conversely, if you take 1 quart of dry corn and rehydrate it would weigh 20 pounds. The above is for corn that can be packed into a relatively dense wet or dry configuration. The other state we commonly see corn in is popped corn and I have no idea how much one quart would weigh...

What is 500mls in fluid oz?

1000 grams = Kilogram ~ 2.25 Pounds (so 500 grams = 1.125 pounds) . . . but also consider: You don't typically convert grams to ounces. Grams is a solid weight measurement while ounces is a liquid measurement. However, 500 grams is approximately one pound by weight, but that doesn't necessarily mean 16 ounces by volume. HTH. So. Ounces is only a liquid measurement? Can you say Avoirdupois ? You must not be in the U.S. or you would have a lot of problems weighing things. Solid wt. has no meaning. Everything has weight. Gases, liquids.......... Grams are weight as are ounces and pounds. Liters, milliliters are volumetric as are LIQUID ounces and quarts. Solid VOLUME, would make sense, as it's used to compute things like concrete mixes etc. by excluding the moisture content of materials etc. but not solid weight.

How many ounces in 150 grams of corn?

As a rough rule of thumb, convert grams to ounces at a ratio of 25:1 - giving an answer of about 6 ounces for 150 grams. This is only an approximation, but it's close enough to be usable, and simple enough to be easy.A bit more precisely, there are 28 grams to the ounce, making 150 grams closer to 5.3 ounces. To two decimal places, there are 28.35 grams to the ounce.Of course, if you're weighing lead rather than corn, that's a lot heavier. ;)

How much does one cup frozen corn weigh?

About 170 gm, or 6 ounces. To weigh 1 cup of corn kernels, get some scales and weigh the measuring cup. Then fill the measuring cup with corn kernels and weigh it again. Subtract the weight of the cup empty from the weight of the cup full and the answer you get will be the weight of one cup of corn kernel.

How many ounces is a bushel?

It depends on the material being measured. Bushel is volume measurement while ounces is a weight measurement. If you know the commodity being measured, you can then figure out the ounces. For example, dry shelled field corn is 56 pounds per bushel. Take that multiplied by 16 ounces per pound and you can say that for corn, a bushel is 896 ounces.

2 oz how many tablespoon?

One tablespoon is 1/2 fluid ounce. 8 fluid ounces per cup. But these are FLUID ounces, not the same as weight ounces. For weight ounces the number of tablespoons will depend on the food. 2 oz of salt will be fewer tablespoons than 2 oz of some less dense food, like corn flakes.

How many pound of 1 gallon corn syrup?

About one pound --wrong The actual answer is more like 24 ounces by weight. Pint is a volume measurment. One pint of water equals roughly 16 ounces by weight. One pint of corn syrup is heaver than one pint of water. Corn Syrup has a density of about 1.36 g/ml and water has a density of about 1 g/ml. This means that corn syrup is about 36% heavier by volume than water. 16 oz * 1.36 = 21.76 ounces A pint of corn syrup is about 22 ounces. Happened to be checking this item in our commercial kitchen this morning--- so rather than rely on supposition we weighed one cup of Karo Cornsyrup and the weight was .73 Pound. One cup is 8 fluid ounces so a pint would be 16 fluid ounces and would weigh - 1.46 Pounds. Hope the info is of value.
