if you need to chop off one leg of a dog and don't know maths, you could end up chopping off more than you were meant to... come on, seriously, it's not really used, they just like to know your brain moves in more scientific, therefore mathematic circles than, say, artistic. all you need as a necessity for being a vet is chemistry - you need mainly A's and A*'s.
