The nearest star is the Sun , and a photon of light takes about 8 minutes to reach the Earth.

The next nearest star is 'Alpha- Centuri' and a photon of light takes about 4 0 5 years to reach Earth.

It takes 4.22 years. That star is Proxima Centauri, one of the three stars of the Alpha Centauri system. It is 4.22 light years away, which by definition means that it takes 4.22 years for light to travel from it to the Earth. The Alpha and Beta components of this triple star system are a little farther away at this time, 4.37 light years.
Unless, of course, you include our own yellow dwarf star (Sol) which is only eight and a half light minutes away.

On average throughout the year, about 8minutes 19seconds , because of

the slight variation in the sun-Earth distance during the year.

"150 million kilometers" = 8minutes 20.3seconds at light speed in vacuum

It takes light about 8 minutes to arrive from our Sun to us.

If you mean "the nearest star, apart from our Sun", that would be Toliman (Alpha Centauri), at a distance of about 4.3 light-years - that is, it takes 4.3 years for light to arrive from Toliman to Earth.

One light year is equal to about Ten Trillion Kilometers; you can multiply the rest out.

(Addition to answer: Putting it in terms of miles or kilometers is not very practical though. A better unit of distance to use might be the Parsec. One Parsec is about 30 trillion kilometers. 100,000 light years is about 30,700 Parsecs... in other words a very, very long way.

Our Milky Way galaxy is thought to be about 100,000 LY across. I haven't done the math for myself but I remember reading that to cross our galaxy at a speed of 100 km/hr would take something like 1.7 trillion years.) 100,000 x 365.25 x 24 x 60 x 60 x speed of light - i.e. quite a distance.

A light-year is a measure of DISTANCE, not time. One light year is the distance that light would travel in one year. Light travels at approximately 186,000 miles per second, or 300,000 kilometers per second.

one light year is

9 460 528 400 000 kilometers

t= x / v

t= 9 460 528 400 000 (km) / 100 (km/h) = 94 605 284 000 hours

1 year = 24 x 365 = 8760 hours

94 605 284 000 / 8760 = 10 799 690 years

That depends on how far the star is from Earth. Stars are all at great distances from us. Light travels at about 186,000 miles per second or about 300,000 kilometres per second. The Sun is the nearest star to us, and its light takes about 8 minutes to reach us. The next nearest, Proxima Centauri, takes about four years to reach us. Others take years, decades, centuries and even millennia to reach us.

The most distant object visible to the naked eye is the Andromeda Galaxy at about 2.5 million light years. In theory, there should be no limit other than the physical size of the universe provided the object is bright enough.
