There are 3 states of matter, Solid, Liquid, & Gas(eous), as the electrons accelerate thru heating or microwave interference, etc. the atoms move farther apart, solid being the densest form of matter with the least mass to Gas with the most mass but least density, the definition of a Solid is matter that is neither Liquid or Gaseous Water (H2O) is the one exception to this rule as it becomes lighter & more massive as a solid

Solid is one of the four common states of matter. The molecules in solids are closely bound together, they can only vibrate. This means solids have a definite shape that only changes when a force is applied.

Solid is the phase of matter that refers to a substance that has a definite volume and shape. There is two different types, amorphous and crystalline. An amorphous solid is a solid that's particles are unorganized, an example is wax. A crystalline solid is a solid that's particles are organized into straight rows, an example is glass.
