I have to assume several things. First that you mean 12 feet by 12 feet. Second that you mean 16 inches by 20 inches. Third that there is no spacing between the pavers (this last assumption is not a good ond, usually there are spaces).

12 feet x 12 = 144 inches

---- 144 in / 16 in = 9 pavers long

---- 144 in / 20 in = 7.2 pavers wide so there must be spacing use 7 pavers

7x9 = 63 total pavers.

OR YOU CAN ALTERNATE THE PAVERS TO FORM A PATTERN. Use the 16 for length beside one turned to get 20 length beside it. This yields 36 inches.

Play with the pattern on paper until you get one that you like.
