If your years were 365.25 days long how many hour are in each day?

If there were exactly 52 weeks in year then a year would be 364 days, so how many weekdays varies by around 1 day (leap year possibly could make it 2* depending on what day it begins on. Say the year only had 365 days and the 365 was on a weekend there would be 260 week days in a year, but i think that could potentialy be 262 on a leap year.

∙ 14y agoIt happens that the Terrestrial year is 365.24 days, which is fairly close to your number. Our day is 24 hours long, for which there is no particular reason, other than that somebody decided to break the day into 12 parts (and therefore, break the nights into 12 parts). There was never any particular thought that these should be EQUAL parts, until Galileo invented the pendulum clock.

Why 28 days in Feb?
There are 28 days that exist in February except for every fourth year when there is a day added which is of course the February 29th. The reason being that each day is not exactly 24 hours rather there is a little bit of time that each day goes over the 24 hour period. To make up that time a 24 hour period is added to our calendar once every four years. Baby's that are born on the 29th of February are called leap year baby's. The year 2012 (and all years divisible by 4 but not 100 but 400) February has 29 days.
