33' for 3 tab, 25' for architect
Actually, most three tab bundles only cover 32 sq feet. And architectural shingles cover about the same (it varies from manufacturer). But architectural shingles have less waste since there's no exact pattern to follow(unlike the slots in three tab shingles). You can save your scrap cut offs if they're 4-5" long. Owens corning shingles allow 4-5" offsets. You just have to be careful of your nail pattern. Oh, about that coverage, some 50yr shingles only cover 25sq feet, but most are 33 sq feet. Basically, one bundle for every sheet of plywood.

A 'bundle' is an arbitrary amount - Usually we talk about 'squares' in roofing. One 'square' is 100 square feet
9 bundles assuming std. 3 bundle/sq. shingles
That would be one square and one bundle. Better buy a square and two bundles, though, to cover wastage.
3 bundles of shingles = 100 square feet 1 bundle of shingles = 33 1/3 square feet
A roofing square covers an area of 100 square feet. A standard 4x8 sheet measures 32 square feet (4 feet x 8 feet). To determine how many 4x8 sheets are in a roofing square, divide 100 square feet by 32 square feet, which equals approximately 3.125 sheets. Therefore, you would need about 4 sheets of 4x8 to cover a roofing square, accounting for waste and cuts.
Not sure, but one bundle covers 33.33 square feet. 3 bundles to a square.
40,000
Approximately 1885 Square feet of roofing.
10.67×10.67 = 113.85 square feet (rounded up).
How much dose 3 square of roofing cover
Not really sure how many square, but a bundle of ridge cap normally covers 25 lineal feet. since cap dosent really cover any area ive never figured how many square it covers. hope this helps---------------------------------------------A square is 100 square feet of covered area, but knowing how many squares there is in a bundle of ridge caps is not of much value. It is important to know how many feet of ridge can be covered with a bundle.
