It's not nearly that simple ! -First of all it depends where you are, then there is no such thing as a 'truck load' - trucks come in all sizes that carry from 1 -16 yards of sand ! - Finally 'sand' -at least in my locality, comes in at least 5 varieties all different costs. I would recommend calling a few local quarries or landscape suppliers to get comparative prices. - Or even visiting them to see that 'sand' isn't just all the same.
Purified sand can be bought in many places. Hardware stores, pet shops, supercenters, and some plant nurseries even carry it.
