The rule of thumb for wood chips is that they weighs 550 pounds per cubic yard. So a ton of wood chips would equal about four cubic yards.
how many yards are in a ton of wood chips 2000 pounds equals a ton 500 lbs equals one yard 4 yards equals one ton 9000 lbs equals 4.5 tons not 2.5 tons (typo error)

Usually 20 to 23 tons, depending on what the tare weight of the combination is. Although I do believe wood chips are sold by the cubic yard, rather than by the ton.
Something on the order of .6 yards per US ton
There is about 2800lbs in 2 yards of top soil.
The answer would depend on the size of the ton - there are two weights for a ton.
One if its a big tree, maybe two if they a little smaller.
The formula I use is 15 tons = about 12 yards.
