The question doesn't tell us what the "10K" refers to ... there's no unit with it.
If one happens to be in the foot-racing business, then the catch-phrase "10K"
may mean something to him. But if one is in the foot-racing business, then he
would already know how many miles it is. So we're left confused by the question.
If we're going to assume that "10K" means "ten kilometers" and go with that,
then we ought to at least use an accurate conversion ratio. "1 Km = 5/8 mile"
is almost 0.6% too big ... races are won and lost by less than that.
1 km = 0.62137 mile. That's rounded too, but it's a lot closer to the truth than 5/8 is.
It's only about 0.000192% off.
