If in an original mint holder or slabbed to authenticate its condition, a 2005 buffalo nickel might retail for 25 to 50 cents. They're going for more on eBay but those prices are from someone hoping to find a buyer willing to pay an above-market price.
Buffalo Nickels weigh 5 grams and are made of an alloy that is 75% copper and 25% nickel.
Nickel blank planchets can be found on eBay all the time selling for a couple dollars apiece. About the same price as a blank Buffalo Nickel ;>)

A 1940 Mercury dime (not Liberty) is very common. If it shows any wear, the value is just for the silver, about $1.90.
