∙ 13y agoFill the 3 litre can and pour it into the 5 litre can, do this again until the 5 litre can is full. This leaves 1 litre in the 3 litre can. Empty the 5 litre can and tip the one litre from the 3 litre can into the 5 litre can. Now fill the 3 litre can to the top and empty this into the 5 litre can - 4 litres.
