It depends on the pond. There are several ways.

A device that bounces sound waves down and measures the time it takes to return, then calculates the distance based on the known speed of sound in the medium. These may be called fish finders, fathometers, echo sounders.

I do not know if the readout is in meters or not.

If the pond is not very deep, you could stick a long pole in the water and mark when you get resistance. Measure the length in meters. If the end stuck into the mud, then you'd need to measure from where the mud stops, to your mark.

Or you could drop an anchor or other weight, tied to a rope, and mark it when you get slack in the line.

What is the unit of measure of a bowl?

well there are several ways to do this 1 is to measure the amount of water it displaces when you fill a bucket of water up to the brim and then submerge the ball in the bucket recording the volume of the water spilling over the edge 2 another way would be to take the radius which is just the width of the thickest part of the bowling ball divided by 2 and input the radius value into ((4/3)(pie•radius^3))=volume

Explain two ways to find the volume of a plastic cube?

How would someone measure their refrigerator to find the correct counter depth?

You would need to measure the space from the wall from where the back of the refrigerator will be out to the edge of the nearest cabinet. Measure it twice to make sure you have the right measurements. Also don't forget that refrigerators need ventilation space. So when you get to the store check the brand you are looking at and see what the requirement is as to how far away from the wall it must sit. Then you will be able to adjust your measurements to meet the requirements. And don't forget to measure the height and width of your space too.
