Solid Mensuration (also known as Solid Geometry) is the study of various solids. It is the study of the measure of volume, area, height, length, and many more. This subject is used extensively in the practice of engineering. The knowledge of this subject is a necessity to engineers in any project construction.

This subject will cover the following: Cube, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Prism, Cylinder, Cone, Frustums, Spheres, Solids of Revolution, Prismatoid, etcetera.

What is the importance of Solid Mensuration to a Marine/Nautical Student?:

This is a measurement of all objects to be put on ships for transport. It is the Length, area. or volume of an object Solid Mensuration (also known as Solid Geometry) is the study of various solids. It is the study of the measure of volume, area, height, length, and many more. This subject is used extensively in the practice of engineering. The knowledge of this subject is a necessity to engineers in any project construction.

It also teaches the student how to compute the density of a vessel and by the volume of the sea and inluding the amount of the fuel that had been filled at the tank. This gives a lot of ideas of a marine engineering student how to compute and solve a problem. This is the job I have always wanted ever since I was a little boy. Degrees in this study are offered only to college graduate students.
